Missouri Western women’s basketball (7-6, 2-2 MIAA) jumped out to a 9-0 lead after the opening tip and never looked back, as the Griffons never trailed and beat Northeastern State (3-10, 0-4 MIAA) 63-49 on the road in Talequah, Oklahoma on Saturday, Jan. 5.
The women fell to Central Oklahoma on Jan. 3. The Griffons took a one-point lead into the fourth quarter, but were outlasted in the final period and lost 69-56 to the Bronchos. On Dec. 30, the women beat Adams State University at home 73-54, which was their third straight win.
Next up, the Griffons play Washburn University at home at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
