The 23rd annual Reading of Challenged and Banned Books in recognition of the American Library Association’s National Banned Books Week will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 26 in Blum 218.
It is sponsored by the Department of English and Modern Languages; The Department of Education; The Missouri Western library and Prairie Lands Writing Project.
Students, faculty and members of the St. Joseph community will hold a reading of books that have been either banned or challenged in U.S. schools in recent years. Refreshments will be served following the readings.
