Hollywood FX creature and makeup effects artist Wayne Anderson will visit campus from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, April 24 to give a talk and demonstration. Anderson has worked on movies such as “Stranger Things,” “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” “Bright,” “Ghostbusters” and many more. He also sculpted the 2018 predator and was in season four of “Face Off.”
He will speak in Spratt Hall room 101.
Anderson, from Fort Meyers, Florida, graduated from CinemaMakeup School, Hollywood’s professional makeup school, in 2012. After making award-winning creature suits from his small garage studio for years, Anderson was awarded the Dick Smith Legends of Makeup Scholarship in 2012 and moved to Los Angeles to attend CMS. In “Face Off,” he was one of three finalists and made it all the way to the final challenge. Today, Anderson continues to work as a makeup artist on films, television and commercial projects and with major effects labs including Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc.
