The MIAA released its 2019 Preseason Coaches Poll this week and Missouri Western’s volleyball program was picked to finish sixth with 54 points. Washburn earned the top spot heading into the season after winning the NCAA Central Regional and advancing the national championship semifinal in 2018.
The Griffons will head to two tournaments in the beginning of September to start their 2019 campaign. Missouri Western’s first home match comes on Sept. 20 against Central Missouri. The home opener will be the Griffons’ only home match in the first month of the season.
