Griffon Soccer suffered its second defeat of the season, 2-0 to Rockhurst (2-0), on Sept. 8 to close out the Stoney Creek Hotel Classic. The 0-2 start to the season is the first for the program since 2010.
After a career-high 12 saves on Friday, Anna Mayer broke MWSU’s program record for saves in a game with 18. She had 85 saves through 19 games last year and ended the first weekend of her sophomore season with 30.
The Griffons stay home to host Wayne State College (0-1-1) on Friday, Sept. 13 and Sioux Falls (0-1) on Sunday, Sept. 15.
