Philosophy statement:

My teaching philosophy is that all children have the ability to learn and express their creativity when given a positive learning environment. Art is an essential part of the human experience. It is my job as an educator to provide a reassuring, safe, and accepting place for students to grow as artists and individuals. While in my classroom, I want my students to feel comfortable to experiment and express themselves without judgment through my guidance.

All children learn in different ways; I will incorporate these different learning styles into the curriculum so that no student is left behind. I will incorporate cooperation, themes, hands-on learning, and individual work to create a well rounded and engaging environment for learning.

I aim to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to the classroom each day. It is my goal to give students the tools to thrive and gain an appreciation of the arts that they can instill into aspects of their everyday life.
