The Center for Excellence in Applied Healthcare Learning (CEAHL) was created through MoExcels grant funding and the generous support of the following partners: Mosaic Life Care, Mosaic Life Care Auxiliary, the Missouri Western State University Foundation and the Mosaic Life Care Foundation.
The goal of CEAHL is facilitating the expansion and development of employer-driven education, training programs and initiatives to increase educational attainment and meet workforce educational needs.

Missouri Western BSN program has added 20 additional seats per year
Build capacity for Missouri Western College of Science and Health programs

Increased high school, technical school and STEM program outreach
Enhanced physical space and engaging learning environments

Establish CEAHL and expand academic practice partnerships
Meet Health Care Workforce Needs
Assess and response to community health care workforce needs through training and events
Creation of the Mosaic Life Care Auxiliary Community Lab
Research Agenda
Research will focus on Northwest Missouri health care workforce needs including:
- increased access to quality programs
- the use of simulation
- apprenticeships/internships
- responsive programs to meet regional needs
