The CEAHL has achieved the following to date:

  • Social Work Pilot Program initiated between the Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development and Missouri Western State University Construction for new Behavioral Health Space on track for completion – September 2023
  • MWSU MSW program to begin – August 2023
  • School of Nursing and Health Professions Open House – April 2023
  • Completion of Mosaic Life Care Interprofessional Lab & Interprofessional Collaboration Spaces – April 2023
  • Start of new undergraduate Respiratory Therapy program
  • Advisory forum – December 2021
  • The BSN pre-licensure Graduating Class of May 2022 began with an increased cohort size of 60 students – Fall 2020
  • The MWSU Board of Governors approved the naming of the community lab to the “Mosaic Life Care Auxiliary Community Lab” – August 2020
  • The Mosaic Foundation awarded eight Missouri Western nursing students scholarships for the Mosaic Life Care Apprenticeship Program – May 2020
  • St. Joseph Youth Alliance began use of the Community Lab for students completing their GED while developing skills in the Certified Nursing Assistant Program – May 2020
  • Missouri State Board of Nursing approved expansion of the nursing program by 20 students per year – April 2020
  • First use of Community Lab for regional hospital COVID-19 training – April 2020
  • Final construction including classrooms, technology equipment for lab/classrooms installed – March 2020
  • Simulation lab medication dispensing system capable of inventory control installed – March 2020
  • Simulation lab hospital beds delivered and installed – March 2020
