David Freeman has done it all when it comes to internships. He was one of only six students in the U.S. selected for a National Science Foundation internship, where he got to work alongside some of the top researchers in the country. During his internship, he traveled to several states around the country to present research, including at the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in San Diego and at the American Chemical Society in Dallas.
David received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry with a concentration in molecular biology. He was pursued by eight graduate schools from around the country because of his internship and research experience. He selected the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and is pursuing a Ph.D. in chemical biology and medicinal chemistry.
