Blair was a vital member of the team that created a Super Bowl commercial for a local Hy-Vee grocery store. The ad aired twice during Super Bowl XLVIII and was a major hit!
Major: Convergent Media
Hometown: Liberty Hill, Texas
Originally starting out as an education major, Blair transferred to Missouri Western her sophomore year to play Griffon softball. She wanted to pursue a career as a high school math teacher and coach because of her love of sports.
Following her passion for athletics, Blair joined the student newspaper the Griffon News in hopes of writing sports articles. One of her first assignments was to write a feature on Dallas Henry, a new faculty member at Missouri Western. During the interview, Henry mentioned that he would be teaching scriptwriting the next semester. Blair had always been interested in scriptwriting, so she enrolled in the class and the rest is history. She changed her major to Convergent Media and began taking cinema classes.

Blair accepted an internship with Theatre and Cinema at Missouri Western, where she was able to edit videos for the University, including promotional videos for Remington/Agenstein and Potter Halls as well as a music video/commercial spot. These videos earned a silver and two bronze American Advertising Federation of Kansas City Silver ADDY awards.
After graduation, Blair’s dream job would be to edit/direct (or even act) in commercials.
