Here are a few updates from Student Affairs on participating in student organizations for the remainder of the semester.
Continued publicity of meetings, virtual gatherings – You can still promote your virtual events via the Publicity Request Form. If you don’t have an event, but you have good news, we want to know about it, too — send it in!
Use of Zoom – If you sign up for your own free Zoom account using your Missouri Western email, you will have a basic account, which allows you to connect to 100 participants and hold meetings up to 40 minutes. When cut off, you can just reconnect for another 40 minutes with no problems. You have an unlimited amount of meetings you can start. Student Yearbook – Didn’t get a chance to get your student organization’s picture taken for the yearbook? They are now accepting informal photos of organizations. The only two requirements are that everyone is seen in the photo and that it’s clear as possible. All organizations can send them to Tresean Stepney at tstepney@missouriwestern.edu.
Continued student organization virtual meetings – Is your organization meeting virtually? If so, we want to know about it! SOAR – We still want to celebrate YOU! We have extended the deadline for awards nominations to Wednesday, April 1. We will air the awards show online April 8.
