Good afternoon,
As we begin our weekend, I wanted to provide you with a brief update on COVID-19. The total number of MWSU students and employees with COVID-19 reported earlier today in our campus community was eight (8) individuals, all are isolating off campus. Although this number may seem lower than last week, I would like to share information from the broader community. The hospitalizations caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection have been elevated in Northwest Missouri as reported by the Missouri Hospital Association. Our campus community has experienced family, friends, and acquaintances that have had serious cases of COVID-19. Please continue to frequently wash your hands, physically distance, and wear a mask. When we do these things, we are not just protecting ourselves, but we are protecting others as well. Have a safe, healthy weekend.
