Good news! Missouri Governor Mike Parson announced March 18 that Missouri will activate Phase 2 of the state’s COVID-19 Vaccination Plan on March 29. Phase 2 includes higher education, so any Missouri Western employees (including student workers) who did not qualify as part of Phase 1 will be eligible by the end of the month.The governor also announced that Phase 3 of the vaccination plan will be activated on April 9. Phase 3 includes all Missouri adults, so most of our students will qualify as well. Vaccination will be voluntary for Missouri Western employees and students at this time. In order to plan your vaccination, you can register through the Missouri Vaccine Navigator, Mosaic Life Care’s vaccination registration, your local health department, or your family’s healthcare provider or pharmacy. In addition, the Kansas City VA Medical Center is conducting vaccination clinics providing 1200 doses per week. If you are a veteran, you can call to register at: 816-922-2619.
