GriffCon: Understanding Generation Z
The 2023 Griffon Conference (GriffCon) will focus on the theme of Generation Z. This GriffCon will feature keynote speaker Dr. Lindsay Doukopoulos of the Biggio Center for Teaching and Learning at Auburn University.
Conference Schedule:
8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. Coffee time and event check-in
8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Welcome address and applied learning on our campus
9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. MWSU Applied Learning Cross-Section: Sharing successful applied learning models we are already using.
10:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Break
10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. Roundtable Session: What we are doing now: Sharing applied learning examples across disciplines. This will be an opportunity to share the applied learning activities that you are engaging students in with a goal of making them more visible and searching for points of synergy and collaboration.
11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Roundtable Session: Where we want to go: Brainstorming our applied learning future. We want you to share what you want applied learning to look like for students. No idea is too far out there. Once your ideas are on the table we’ll explore the implementation barriers and strategies to overcome them.
