Griffon men’s basketball, coached by Brett Weiberg, ended the season winning six of its final nine games to end the year 12-18 overall and 9-13 in the MIAA. After climbing into the MIAA tournament field in the last weeks of the season, Missouri Western won its first MIAA tournament game since 2010, 70-54 at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.
The Griffons also made MIAA history as the lowest seed (11) to ever win an MIAA Tournament game. Guard Aaron Emmanuel was named Honorable Mention All-MIAA.
