Twenty-six spring sport student athletes were named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, with three picking up Scholar Athlete Awards: Cody Childs, baseball; Madison Romjue, golf; and Morgan Rathmann, softball.
The St. Joseph Convention and Visitors Bureau estimated the economic impact of the March 2015 MWSU/Apple Market Softball Classic at $250,740. An estimated 2,500 people attended the three-day event. Fifteen schools, eight from the MIAA and seven from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, competed at the Heritage Park Softball Complex and Missouri Western’s Spring Sports Complex.
