Griffon volleyball was not able to defend its 2017 MIAA Championship, finishing the season 15-17, but there were some outstanding individual performances.
Six Griffons were named All-MIAA, and Missouri Western had players at each position ranked among the best in the MIAA. Junior Stephanie Doak was named second-team All-MIAA despite finishing second in the conference in kills and kills per set. Senior Rachel Losch led the MIAA with a .348 hitting percentage and was among the league leaders in blocks, earning second-team honors as a middle hitter. Junior setter Lauren Murphy was also named second-team and was one of just a few setters in the conference to average more than 10 assists per set. Senior libero Audrey Keim finished fourth in the MIAA in digs per set and was named honorable mention All-MIAA along with senior outside hitter Shellby Taylor and sophomore middle hitter Ali Tauchen.
The Griffons are coached by Marian Carbin ’07.
