Missouri Western is pleased to offer in-state tuition to ALL active duty and military veterans and their spouses and dependents. Regardless of your state of residency, if you are a military-connected individual, you can receive in-state tuition.
ELIGIBILITY FOR MILITARY CONNECTED STUDENT
Service Member or Veteran
Currently or previously served in the US Armed Forces (must be Honorably or Generally Discharged)
Military Spouse
Currently married to or widowed from a service member or veteran, or receiving transferred VA education benefits
Military Dependent
Currently 24 years of age or younger, or receiving transferred VA education benefits
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
Service Member or veteran may submit one of the following:
- Valid Military ID (active duty or retired)
- Certificate of Eligibility letter
- DD214 (long form)
Military spouse may submit one of the following:
- Valid Military ID
- Certificate of Eligibility letter
- Veteran’s DD214 (long form) and copy of marriage certificate or other proof of relationship
Military dependents may submit one of the following:
- Valid Military ID
- Certificate of Eligibility letter
- Veteran’s DD214 (long form) and proof of relationship
DEADLINES
Documentation must be submitted by the end of the first week of the term which is being applied for. Documentation submitted after the deadline will be reviewed for the following term. Decisions will not be applied retroactively.
CONTINUING ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION
Once documentation has been presented and in-state tuition awarded a military connected student will continue this status as long as continuous enrollment (Fall and Spring semesters only) is maintained. If the student lays-out for a semester and any type of admission form is required, documentation will need to be verified and/or submitted again.
