The Baker Family Fitness Center at Missouri Western State University will close June 2 through June 22 for the replacement of the facility’s floor. During this time, Missouri Western students, faculty, staff, alumni and Gold Coat members with current fitness center access will be allowed to use the facilities at the St. Joseph YMCA, 315 South 6th St., at no cost.
Current users of the Baker Center will need to show their IDs at the YMCA’s front desk to verify their membership. Those who haven’t used the fitness center recently should contact Amy Foley, fitness center coordinator, at 816-271-5947, or email simpson@missouriwestern.edu. Be advised that the YMCA has different hours and rules regarding facility usage and may require users to fill out additional paperwork.
