Taylor King, a senior graphic design major at Missouri Western State University, had a series of posters accepted to the National Student Show and Conference 11 sponsored by the Dallas Society of Visual Communications. King, from Joplin, Missouri, created a series of posters in response to the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris in January.
The show and conference was held in Dallas March 19-21. The conference included renowned keynote speakers, studio tours, panel discussions, breakout sessions and workshops in addition to the juried national design exhibition. Students also had the opportunity to have their portfolios reviewed by national leading industry professionals.
King was one of just 20 students nationwide who had a poster or poster series accepted into the Poster Category of the exhibition. Only one other student from Missouri was accepted into the show.
