The 13th annual eXtreme Percussion Show will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 17 and 18 in the Potter Hall Theater on the campus of Missouri Western State University. The suggested donation for tickets is $7 for the general public and $5 for students with college ID. eXtreme Percussion serves as a fundraiser for the Missouri Western percussion program.
More than 30 percussionists present an evening of high-energy entertainment. Joining Missouri Western students and faculty will be a talented high school ensemble from Park Hill High School in Kansas City, Missouri.
The show features exciting ensemble performances, soloists premiering original pieces, drum lines and special effects. An annual highlight of the show is the performance of the Missouri Western Steel Drum Band.
Dr. Dennis Rogers, director of percussion at Missouri Western, is the director and producer of eXtreme Percussion.
