In addition to the Winter Commencement Ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19 in the arena of the M.O. Looney Complex, several Missouri Western State University Departments will have their own ceremonies and events marking the completion of students’ college experience:
ROTC Commissioning Ceremony, 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, World War I Museum/Liberty Memorial, Kansas City, Missouri
Graduates from the nine colleges that make up the Pony Express Battalion of the Army ROTC, including one from Missouri Western, will be commissioned as officers.
International Student Sash Ceremony, 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, Enright Community Room, Spratt Hall room 216
In a new tradition, graduating international students will be presented with a sash from their country of citizenship.
Nursing Pinning Ceremony, 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, Fulkerson Center
New nursing graduates are presented with a pin symbolic of their chosen profession.
