“The Marriage of Figaro,” the play by Pierre Beaumarchais that inspired the Mozart opera of the same name, will be presented by the Department of Theatre, Cinema and Dance in the School of Fine Arts at Missouri Western State University Feb. 19-27. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21 in the Potter Hall Theater on the Missouri Western campus. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for Missouri Western employees, and $6 for students. “The Marriage of Figaro” is Beaumarchais’ sequel to his popular play “The Barber of Seville.” Figaro is getting married in the morning, and the enterprising servant, barber, and professional troublemaker couldn’t be happier. But with everybody scheming to come between him and his bride, Figaro will need all his cunning to make it down the aisle.
The play is directed by Trevor Belt, adjunct faculty member in the Department of Theatre, Cinema and Dance. The cast includes:

“The Marriage of Figaro” is the third of four productions in the 2015-2016 Theatre Season at Missouri Western. The season will conclude with the musical “Godspell” April 8-16.
