Missouri Western State University will be the site of two science fairs Friday, March 11. The 38th annual Missouri Junior Academy of Science Regional Fair will be held in the morning, and the Mid-America Regional Science and Engineering Fair will be held in the afternoon. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Agenstein Hall, room 330.
The Mid-America Regional fair promotes education and careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and STEM-related fields, encourages the greater participation of high school students in scientific research and brings together students across northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas through competition. Posters will be available for public viewing from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The awards ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m. in Agenstein Hall, room 324.
