The Student Government Association at Missouri Western State University held their annual Awards Banquet on April 19 in the Hall of Fame Room at Spratt Memorial Stadium. The annual banquet included the swearing-in of incoming Student Body President Kyle Fuson, junior business major from St. Joseph, and Vice President Reece Christensen, sophomore political science major from Cameron, Missouri.
Organizational award winners were:

- Most Outstanding Fraternity: Phi Delta Theta
- Most Outstanding Sorority: Alpha Sigma Alpha
- Most Outstanding Special & Social Interest Group: The Wildlife Society
- Most Outstanding Faith-Based Organization: Catholic Newman Center
- Glen Marion Community Service Award: Phi Delta Theta
- Best New Organization: Legal Studies Association
- Most Active Organization: The Wildlife Society
- Spirit of the Griffon Award: Alpha Sigma Alpha

- Student Organization Advisor of the Year: Dr. Cary Chevalier, professor of biology, The Wildlife Society
- Dean Hoff Outstanding Achievement Award:
- Freshman: Cecilia Tackett, Savannah, Missouri
- Sophomore Winner – Paul Granberry III, Florissant, Missouri
- Junior Winner – Mon’tra Qualls-Woods, Kansas City, Missouri
- Senior Winner – Alec Guy, St. Joseph
- Outstanding Contribution to Student Senate: Kyle Fuson, St. Joseph
- Outstanding Contribution to E-Board: Gillian Evans, SGA Director of Public Relations, Eldon, Missouri
