April 2, 2019— The Interdisciplinary Nature of Geography Speaker Series at Missouri Western State University presents “Making Climate Change a Dining Table Discourse,” by Dr. Michael Allen, assistant professor of geography in the Department of Political Science and Geography at Old Dominion University, at 6 p.m. Monday, April 8 in Agenstein Hall, room 224. The event is free and open to the public.
Dr. Allen’s research explores the intersection of weather and climate on human health particularly as it related to extreme temperatures, climate variability and change. He has a number of peer-reviewed publications in journals including Physical Geography, Theoretical and Applied Climatology, and the International Journal of Climatology. His research on seasonal climate change has also been highlighted by National Geographic.
