Missouri Western State University’s new president, Matthew J. Wilson, toured various departments Monday morning in order to learn more about the students and faculty he’ll be working with this year.
On his first official day on the job, Wilson, who was selected to replace Dr. Robert Vartabedian in March, spent some of his time Monday morning chatting with students and department heads.
“My first day? Hopefully, I have the opportunity to further connect with students, faculty and alumni,” Wilson said. “I hope to set a tone of optimism, excitement and hope as we move forward taking the university to greater heights.”
