Twin beds, ramen noodles and beginner-level classes. Everyone who attended a university remembers their freshman year, particularly move-in day.
Those memories were made Wednesday at Missouri Western State University as incoming freshmen were able to move in to their dorms throughout the day.
“I am kind of excited about starting college but also nervous about it,” said freshman Connor Island.
Butterflies in the stomach are a normal thing when embarking on a new chapter in life, especially starting college. A unique thing about move-in day this year was the Missouri Western had faculty, students and administrators helping the new Griffons unpack.
“Truly with the students being a priority here at Missouri Western, we wanted to make a statement that we are here for you,” Matt Wilson, Missouri Western president, said.
Like the freshmen, Wilson is entering his first year at Missouri Western.
