March 23, 2020–Effective March 23rd, Missouri Western State University is closed to public access through at least April 2 to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. All campus buildings are closed to the public and only employees can enter. Missouri Western had already taken steps to reduce the number of employees who are physically on campus through measures like limiting on-campus operations, remote working and relaxed paid leave opportunities. Campus offices and services remain operational for students and faculty who are continuing the spring semester through alternative methods of instruction.
