Sept. 23, 2021–Missouri Western State University and Heart to Heart International are sponsoring two COVID-19 vaccination events on campus in September and October. The events on Tuesday, Sept. 28 and Tuesday, Oct. 26 will be held from noon to 4:30 p.m.in the Hoff Conference Rooms, Blum Student Union rooms 218-219. The events are free and open to the public as well as the campus community. Walk-ins are welcome, or people can register at mwsu9-28.timetap.com.
Participants will be able to choose from the three vaccines currently approved for use in the U.S. Those who choose one of the two-shot vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) can receive the first shot at the September event and the second at the October. The one-shot vaccine (J&J Janssen) will be available at both. Anyone who qualifies for a booster shot will also be able to get that at either event.
“Our message to the campus community has been consistent: widespread vaccination is the best way to ensure that we are able to remain operational and to continue offering the vibrant, on-campus experience for our students as we are doing this fall and beyond,” said Dr. Elizabeth Kennedy, Missouri Western’s president. “I’m very happy that Heart to Heart International has agreed to assist in working with our campus and the St. Joseph community.”
