May 16, 2023–Missouri Western State University graphic design students visited two leading advertising agencies, VMLY & R and Barkley, on their annual Kansas City Design Studio Tour.
Students from the Final Portfolio Class were given a guided tour of the facilities, an overall presentation of the agencies’ clients and services, and Q & A sessions arranged just for them. Students met with art directors, designers, and recruiters.
“Most importantly, students were given timely information about internships, portfolio reviews, and helpful tips on networking and job interviewing,” said Teresa Harris, professor of art and graphic design program director.
