April 12, 2024–The Center for Diversity and Inclusion at Missouri Western State University will host a lunch and learn about gender identity and expression at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 15 in Blum Student Union, Room 223.
Missouri Western celebrates campus pride month in April to honor LGBTQ pride month, celebrated nationally in June when classes are not in session.
This event will feature licensed counselor Harriett E. Gordon. She will discuss how mental health has historically viewed gender identity and expression and current best practices.
Students, faculty, staff, community members and allies of LGBTQIA+ are welcome to attend.
Lunch will be provided for those who RSVP by completing the Google form at griff.vn/Lunch.
