April 16, 2024–Missouri Western State University’s Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) presents Chalk the Walk, an event to raise awareness about sexual assault. This event will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 22 in the Kelley Commons, on the patio behind Blum Union.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Students, faculty, staff and the public are encouraged to raise their voice through art. The CDI hopes to spread messages of support, hope and empowerment on the sidewalks.
Miguel Paz Blanco is a sophomore nursing major at Missouri Western who works with the CDI.
“Join us in breaking the silence and shining a light on this important issue,” Paz Blanco said.
The event is free and open to the public.
