Sept. 1, 2022–The Center for Military and Veterans Services at Missouri Western State University will commemorate the 21st anniversary of the terrorist attacks of 9/11 with a stair climb and memorial ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 11.
The stair climb will be held at Spratt Memorial Stadium. Participants will climb the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center that was destroyed in the attack as a way of honoring the memory of the first responders who rushed to aid those in need during the attacks on 9/11. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The stair climb begins at 8:30 and ends at 11 a.m. The event is free, but registration is required. Participants can register in advance at missouriwestern.edu/military/.
A memorial ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Enright Community Room, Spratt Hall room 214.
