The Adult Education and Literacy Program at the St. Joseph School District and the Western Institute at Missouri Western State University are now accepting nominations for the 2018 Roy Blunt Literacy Citation. The award will be presented at a special event on the Missouri Western campus in April.
Any individual, group, business or organization whose volunteer literacy activities benefit St. Joseph or northwest Missouri in a substantial, important or unique way is eligible. Students receiving course credit or compensation for their literacy efforts are only eligible if their volunteer service extends beyond course requirements.
To nominate a volunteer, fill out the nomination form, available at griff.vn/Blunt2018 and return it to the Western Institute by 4 p.m. March 16.
