The photo contest is open to all the students who participated in study away courses or exchange programs in foreign countries. The goal is to encourage cultural awareness, as well as an appreciation for the environment and art from visited places.
The winning pictures will be chosen in October from photos taken from the Fall of 2018 until the Summer of 2019. There will be an exhibition of the best pictures. If you have questions, write to mriverat@missouriwestern.edu.
There are three categories:
People & Culture
Pictures of local people that express an awareness of the culture of the visited country.
Nature & Architecture
Pictures particularly focused on the natural or human-created spaces where a given culture exists.
Griffons’ Wings
Pictures of an MWSU student or group of students wearing the university logo or displaying the school spirit in the visited country.
The photo contest is sponsored by the Department of English and Modern Languages and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
