Four MWSU students competed in the Alpha Chi annual collaborative research competition, culminating with a live presentation in Austin, Texas. The team’s four students were Mackenzie Grantham, biology-health science, Kylee Meehan, psychology, Tanner Merwin, history, and Wanda Pearson, psychology. Their project, entitled, “Past, Present, and Future Disease Dynamics: A Comparative Analysis of the Social Dynamics of the Current COVID-19 Pandemic and Tuberculosis Outbreaks of the 20th Century” included historical research, survey design and data collection, and producing a manuscript, poster and presentation. They were mentored by Dr. Angela Haas, associate professor of history.
