“I graduated with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. While working at a psychiatric rehabilitation center, I use my degree every day to help rehabilitate, encourage, and improve the lives of others. My involvement in the psychology department and community is what made my college experience so great! I’m so thankful for the professors and staff who helped me along the way.”

“Between coursework and conversations with faculty advisors, I was able to launch my career. I started working as a Mental Health Technician at a residential facility that specializes in mood and anxiety disorders. My role now serves as a Mental Health Activity Therapist for individuals in the prison system, as well as in a hospital setting. I find great purpose in the work I do with clients. I plan to start a Master’s degree and pursue licensure in the near future.”

Wes Smith, ’03
