Harriette Schulz understood the importance of higher education. After helping her children through college, she eventually earned a master’s degree and used her college education and considerable talents to improve the lives of people in need through her grant writing and research efforts. Applicants must be a full-time student majoring in social work with a social commitment to others in need through previous volunteer activities or other related humanitarian efforts. Financial need is also a consideration. Scholarship may be renewed if criteria are met.
