Students from the department of health, sport, and exercise science participated in the MoShape Conference on Nov. 11 at Lake Ozark, MO. Two out of three of the selected majors of the year were there to receive their awards. Brea Blanton (HES/PCF) and Kylie DeHook (RSM) were awarded their plaques at the MoShape banquet. Dr. Russell will present Nate Daugherty-Parrish (PE) will be presented with his plaque by Dr. William Russell.
Brea Blanton and Savannah Simmons presented their research on student-athlete burnout at the annual student poster presentation. The number of student presenters was higher than in the past few years with students presenting from Truman State’s undergraduate and graduate programs, Missouri Southern, and others. Brea and Savannah were awarded the Dr. Patricia McSwegin Student Research Award for earning first place in the student research process. Congratulations!
