BECOME A GRIFFON
Transfer students are admitted based on their academic records from all regionally accredited institutions they have previously attended. Any student with less than a 2.0 cumulative GPA for coursework at all previous colleges/universities will be evaluated according to the Table of Academic Standards in the University Catalog to see if they are admissible.
STUDENTS WITH 24 HOURS OF CREDIT OR MORE
Step 1: Apply for admission
Step 2: Submit official college transcript from all previous institutions you attended

STUDENTS WITH DEGREES
Students who have completed an Associate of Arts degree (AA), a bachelor’s degree, or the Missouri 42-hour general education block (must be noted on the transcript or other official document) from a regionally-accredited institution, are considered to have satisfactorily completed Missouri Western’s general studies requirements. Completion of general studies requirements does not waive departmental major pre-requisites.
STUDENTS WITH LESS THAN 24 HOURS OF CREDIT
Step 1: Apply for admission
Step 2: Send final high school transcript (or HiSET/GED results)
- Send final high school transcript to the Office of Admissions
- High school equivalent or GED students must request an official copy of results from the Department of Education – Secondary Education (DESE)
Step 3: Send official ACT or SAT results (ACT code: 2344)
- Students age 20 or older are not required to submit ACT scores; however, placement tests may be required for some subjects
Step 4: Send official college transcripts from all previous institutions attended
- Transcripts must be sent from college/university that credit is granted through
