Brittnie Morgan ’15 was recognized as the News-Press 20 Who Count: 2020 for her work when the South Side of St. Joseph experienced flooding this summer. Brittnie graduated from MWSU with a bachelor in social work and a minor in childhood studies, and went on to receive her master of social work from the University of Kansas. Brittnie has a passion for helping people, especially children and youth. She is a social worker at Hosea Elementary School and knew she wanted to help when the South Side flooded. Brittnie spent the summer reaching out to families to determine their needs and then went to work organizing, collecting, and delivering items for the flood victims, including temporary storage units, clothes, hygiene products and food. In addition, she networked with local businesses to provide gift certificates. Making a difference continues to be her goal!
