Dr. Melissa Mace has been named vice president for enrollment management. Dr. Mace started her duties this week.
“Enrollment management is a critical focus for Missouri Western, and I’m confident that Melissa has the skills and experience to lead our efforts to attract new students and help them succeed on our campus,” said Dr. Elizabeth Kennedy, interim president. “Throughout the interview process, I was quite impressed by her knowledge, her leadership qualities and her understanding of the challenges faced by higher education generally and Missouri Western in particular. She will be an outstanding addition to our senior leadership team.”

Missouri Western’s role in transformative education through applied learning has the ability to positively impact our students, community, the state of Missouri, and the region. Dr. Mace has been at Maryville University since 2015, with responsibilities in all facets of recruitment and admissions processes for freshman and transfer students. Prior to that, she worked at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Missouri State University.
Dr. Mace earned a Doctor of Education, Higher Education Leadership from Maryville University, a Master of Science in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Missouri State University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri.
