Family and friends – students love getting mail! Whether it’s letters, postcards, or care packages from home, receiving a physical piece of mail lifts student spirits (especially around midterms). If you want to send a letter or package to your student, please follow these instructions to ensure a no-hassle delivery.

All mail should be addressed as follows:

[Student’s Name]

[Student’s Hall] [Student’s Room #] [Student’s Bed Letter]

4801 E. University Dr.

St. Joseph, MO 64507

Packages are delivered to the Commons Building for students to pick up. If a student receives a package, they will receive an email from centralreceiving@donotreply.com. Packages are usually available for pick-up after 4:30 p.m. on the day the student receives the email.

Letters are delivered directly to the student’s mailbox in the residence halls. Students do not receive a notification if they receive a letter; so, encourage your student to check their mailbox semi-regularly!

If you have already sent a package or letter without all of the information, don’t worry! The Housing and Residence Life team will make every effort to identify who should receive the piece of mail and get it delivered.

We look forward to seeing the many smiles that get delivered along with the mail!
