Industry Partnerships

In order to ensure that the new programs and facility align well with industry needs, the University has engaged several industry advisory groups to help guide the project. First, an executive group of stakeholders comprising industry leaders, the Saint Joseph School District, local government officials, and representation from the Chamber of Commerce provided broad input on strategy.  A second group comprising plant managers and engineers provided technical advice on the Center’s construction and input on equipment selections. University teams have thus far met with more than 60 manufacturing or construction businesses throughout the region, gathering information regarding their individual workforce training needs. Major industrial and business partners in the Houlne Center serve on the Curriculum Advisory Group that ensures robust alignment of curriculum and training offerings with industry workforce needs.

  • $50,000 Premier Partnership ($10,000/year for 5 years) entitles the company to share a video describing their company that will be seen by hundreds of students and incumbent workers; a seat on the Curriculum Advisory Group to help ensure our programs align well with industry needs; and inclusion on the eye-catching donor wall in the lobby area. Companies will also be offered opportunities to interact informally with student groups.
  • Naming opportunities are available from $10,000 and up. Get your brand in front of the students and incumbent trainees who are learning skills and mastering equipment you are seeking. Secure signage in those areas.
